Hi! I’m Sophie Smith and I live in San Francisco with my husband and our two rambunctious kids. I earned my degree in Psychology at Harvard and then workedin data analytics in science labs, education non-profits, and the tech sector. I later fell in love with the world of pregnancy/birth and wanted to share my research and learnings with others.
I teach prenatal yoga and enjoy snowboarding, hosting dinner parties and doing crosswords in my “spare” time (which has become at lot more “spare” recently!)
Fun fact: in 1959, my grandmother - Majorie Karmel - wrote the bestselling book “Thank You, Dr. Lamaze” which helped bring the Lamaze method (the first “natural childbirth method”) to the United States. While sadly I never had the chance to meet her, I like to think I’m carrying on her legacy in my work.
